Description

The day-to-day work of certified damage insurance professionals is filled with complex decisions.

Two ethical principles serve as a true professional compass: diligence and integrity. They help protect the public and indicate the direction to follow.

Yet a compass is only useful when you know when to rely on it. That is the role of professional judgment: recognizing situations where pressure may influence decisions, staying vigilant, and choosing the right course of action.

This mandatory course will help you define these two principles, recognize the situations that put them to the test, and analyze professional decisions through the lens of best practices. The learning journey concludes with a summative assessment to validate your understanding and application of these concepts.

General objective

By the end of this course, learners will be able to analyze their professional practices to support their clients while applying the principles of diligence and integrity.

Specific objectives

  1. Understand the principles of professional diligence and integrity, and how they are integrated into professional practice.
  2. Identify and assess situations that test professional diligence and integrity.
  3. Apply and justify professional decisions and behaviours that align with the principles of diligence and integrity, even in complex or challenging situations.
