Train the Trainer
For a training course to be recognized by the ChAD, it must be given by a ChAD-recognized trainer. The trainer may act as an independent trainer or be contracted by an organization providing training activities.
Trainers must meet the following two criteria to have their training recognized by the ChAD:
- Professional experience: a trainer must have 1 year’s experience in the subject being taught.
2. Experience in group facilitation: have a total of 100 hours of experience in group facilitation or take a 21 hours train-the-trainer course in knowledge-transmission methods.
A content expert may be recognized by the ChAD if the following criteria are met:
– 1 year’s experience in the subject being taught.
Training suppliers must ensure that their trainers have the skills required to give the training, and that they comply with the Regulation respecting the compulsory professional development of the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages.
This step-by-step video guides you through the process of applying for trainer recognition (in french only).
