Description

In episode 4, “Behind the Badge” Sio Sun, a damage insurance broker, receives an intriguing phone call. On the line, a man introduces himself as a police officer from Montreal’s District 63. He is seeking personal information about a client of the A/T Risks firm for the purposes of an investigation. Sio Sun answers his questions, but she begins to wonder: is her caller truly a police officer? How can she verify his identity? How far is she allowed to go in disclosing her client’s personal information? With Marie‑Claire, a compliance lawyer, Sio discusses police investigative powers and the best practices to follow to comply with her code of ethics regarding the disclosure of personal information.

General objective
