Consultation on the internal by‑laws of the Chambre de l’assurance

Publication date: February 11, 2026

The Chambre de l’assurance, a self‑regulatory organization established by the Act to amend various provisions mainly in the financial sector, is launching a public consultation on its draft internal by‑laws.

In accordance with section 27 of this Act, the transition committee was required to submit, no later than April 4, 2026, a proposal for internal by‑laws to the board of directors of the Chambre de l’assurance (the Board). The draft internal by‑laws were adopted by the Board at its meeting on February 11, 2026, before being submitted to the Autorité des marchés financiers in accordance with the Supervision Plan.

As provided in Appendix A of the Supervision Plan, the internal by‑laws must undergo a public consultation through publication in the Bulletin of the Autorité and on the websites of the Chambre de l’assurance (ChAD and CSF).

Following this consultation and the analysis of comments received, the Autorité may approve the Internal By‑laws, with or without amendments. They will then be submitted to the Board for final adoption, and subsequently to the Annual General Meeting of the members of the Chambre de l’assurance for approval.

Why participate?

The internal by‑laws define the operating rules governing the Chambre de l’assurance and guide the actions of the Board in fulfilling its public‑interest mandate.

Deadline to submit your comments

Comments relating to the internal by‑laws must be submitted to the Chambre de l’assurance and to the Autorité no later than March 17, 2026.
