IMPORTANT: Certified members have until December 31, 2021 to complete the mandatory course.
This online course is mandatory for the 2020-2021 reference period. This training for claims adjusters is designed to familiarize you with your professional obligations and the investigation and disciplinary process.
The role that your code of ethics plays in your profession will be review. The course will then continue on with scenarios that we will use to delve into certain sections of the code in order to help you better understand their importance and how they apply to your practice.
You will also learn about certain legislative changes resulting from the enactment of Bill 141, and the amendments they have led to in the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services.
Finally, you will learn about the investigation and disciplinary process, beginning with the first notification sent stating that the Syndic’s Office has received a complaint, to the hearing before the Discipline Committee of the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages.
With this mandatory course on compliance,the ChAD acts in a preventive manner by providing the tools to help professionals avoid common errors.
