The demographical challenge facing the Damage Insurance Industry, just like many other areas, is only just starting. Quebec now has more people aged 65 and over than young people of 15 and under. According to Statistics Canada, the Quebec population of working age (the group between 15 and 64 years of age) will stop growing in 2013. The growing scarcity of manpower should last close to half a century, thus creating a rivalry much stronger between industries trying to get to the younger generation.
These statistics, more than ever, motivate the Coalition to put in place innovative and creative initiatives to boost the image of Damage Insurance Professionals and to attract quality candidates in the Industry. The success of the financing campaign of 2011, with close to $372,000.00 raised, testifies the mobilization and motivation of the Industry players.
