A client receives his automobile insurance renewal notice. Feeling that the premium is too high, he decides to shop around. He finds a lower premium with another representative and decides to purchase his insurance from this representative.

He goes to the office of the representative who had insured him for the past several years to notify him of his decision. A few days later, the client receives a phone call from his new representative telling him that after having received further information, it will be impossible to issue the new insurance policy.

The consumer files a complaint with the syndic’s office against his former representative who appears to have disclosed personal information on his insurance file to the new representative.
